In 1928, Salto makes an arduous journey to Wyoming to view the Grand Tetons. There he meets phtographer Harrison Crandall, who rents him a small cabin near Jenny Lake. During the winter, Salto paints with the materials at hand - wood panels, knives, and rudimentary brushes made of beaver pelts.
